The prototype I developed for the GGJ 2010 was very basic and was incomplete. This was mainly due to my lack of programming knowledge at the time and the strong artistic team that was put together for the jam. We still came up with an adorable story and cute characters to help portray the story. The game itself was a simple platform game, but it met all the criteria for the jam: the game had to have something to do with “Deception” and must include either a Monk, Skunk, or Punk. Titled “A Tale of Two Stinkies,” the game included a love story between two skunks where the skunk’s lover is kidnapped by a fox. A monk gives the free skunk the power of “deception,” allowing the player to leave a ghost of themselves behind while they evade the fox to rescue their prince charming.
