Tarba Collective Agreement

The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 (“IUOE Local 793″) estimates […] The International Union of Operating Engineers is dedicated to serving and protecting the needs and interests of its members and their families through the collective bargaining process, legislation and extensive training and skills improvement programs. IUOE Local 793 has a head office and training campus in Oakville, Ontario, another training campus in Morrisburg, Ontario and district offices in the province of Ontario. The Toronto Area Builders Association (TARBA) negotiates collective agreements with construction unions on behalf of unionized construction contractors. The association has 27 contractors who do most of the road construction and maintenance for the City of Toronto and the municipalities of the Halton and Peel areas and Simcoe County. The Ontario Residential and Civil Alliance (ACCR) was created from the perspective of constructing Ontario`s Future vision. As a working and management alliance, the RCCAO is the collective voice of various interest groups, low, high and civil sectors on a wide range of sector-related issues. The RCCAO consults with governments, the private sector and the construction industry to find realistic solutions to the problems affecting the sector. The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 (“IUOE Local 793″), welcomes Baffinland`s decision to meet and negotiate a fair and reasonable partnership agreement on mutual benefits.
Mike Gallagher, Chief Affairs Officer of IUOE Local 793, said on behalf of the Board of Directors of IUOE Local 793: “We thank Baffinland employees for trusting iuOE Local 793 and for having the confidence to vote for the interim agreement. We strive to give them the quality they deserve. The mine itself is located in the Mary River, northwest of Baffin Island, Nunavut. It is an open pit iron ore mine and is considered the sixth most popular mine in the world. Greater Toronto Sewer – Watermain Collective Agreement – the agreement was ratified in favour of the transaction.
